Hygienic Product Strainer

Our hygienic 90° strainer is designed for filtration of product, and to remove unwanted items and debris. Suitable for CIP and SIP. The 90° strainer has improved flow over the Y-type strainer. Easy cleaning with no tools required for dismantling the unit, and replacing the element. Manufactured entirely from 316 stainless steel, a 90° product strainer consists of a body, a single hinged clamp, a mesh element, and a lipped EPDM joint ring.

Sizes available: 1” (DN25), 1 1/2” (DN40), 2” (DN50), 2 1/2” (DN65), 3” (DN80), and 4” (DN100), with OD weld end connections. For sizes 1″, 1 1/2″, and 2 1/2″, a concentric cone will be used on a standard body. Supplied as standard with a 1.0 mm (mesh 19) element for sizes 1”, 1 ½”, and 2”, and a 1.5 mm (mesh 12) element for sizes 2 ½”, 3”, and 4”.

The perforated elements are suitable for flow in the in-to-out direction, and for flow in the out-to-in direction, and the flow can be reversed for flushing. Standard finish is 240 grit ID and OD. We recommend buyers to purchase a replacement element at time of ordering, to ease cleaning, and minimise line downtime.
